On recommendation from my sister, I just started, and then finished, reading
Women, by
Charles Bukowski. Aaand... Well, it was, in places, confusing, frustrating, somewhat unclear, and now & then frankly disturbing. But it was also absolutely entertaining, pretty fascinating, and occasionally hilarious. Also, his straightforward prose was a very welcome break from Kant, Schelling and Hegel.
All that said, I think I enjoyed
Post Office just a little more, perhaps just because I read it earlier.
In other news, my leg hurts less! Much less! Like, yesterday it was worse than ever, and now it seems pretty much fine! Probably because I haven't left the house since Friday, and I've been lying in bed and sitting on a giant rubber ball a lot.
Hooray!
