Hng...

For some reason, I feel like I just did or said something really stupid, but can't remember what it is. But I don't think I did do anything stupid. I just have this nagging feeling that I did. It's very annoying.

On a completely unrelated note, to make this post longer, after writing that last post I was plagued by the lyric "I should read a book," and couldn't work out what song it came from.

This morning, it came to me! Mesopotamia, by the B-52s!
Huzzah!

That song has some really demented lyrics.

In more unrelated news, it really annoys me that the B-52s are actually called the B-52's. I refuse to write it that way. Except in this paragraph.

Stealing People's Brains is my new hobby

I finished my last (only) exam today!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

I think it went quite well.

ALL THINGS CONSIDERED

Now for some laziness. Some more laziness, that is.
I might finish Warcraft 3.
And maybe read a book.

Which reminds me, I gotta read me some Gabriel Garcia Marquez someday. Because... You know. It's one of those things. That people do. Sometimes.
'Sides, he has a great name.

P.S, if it wasn't for that post below this could be one of my most edited posts yet.

Sightasia

I've been putting it off too long, I think I'm going to have to actually start considering my English exam tomorrow. It's on Monday. But... I feel really unexcited about it. *sigh*

Tonight, I'll just watch Lost. Though it seems Stargate Atlantis has been cancelled, or mysteriously moved.
*sigh*

Random Image #-42

I just had a compulsion to post that, even though it probably doesn't make much sense.

It comes from the RPG codex. An RPG fansite famed for the angriness of its residents, and a great source of highly opinionated, pretty cynical, and often abusive RPG news. I wouldn't visit it, but the majority of them happen to share all my prejudices when it comes to the subject of RPGS, (i.e, Fallout 1 and/or 2 was the greatest CRPG ever and the vast majority of what is released thesedays pales in comparison), and when it comes to just about no other subjects.

The hills are alive!

The sound of me being lazy: əəəəəəəəəəəəəəə.

Today I planned to:

Vacumn my room.
Read a bit.

Instead I:

Woke up at 3.
Sat around.
On my.
Arse.

Here's hoping I feel more inspired tomorrow!

Doctor required in inflator room!

I just overhauled my enrollment for next semester. I scrapped Shakespeare (English), Practical Ethics and Contemporary Political Philosophy, and replaced them with Syntax (Linguistics), Philosophy Of Modern Physics and Intermediate Logic.

I still kinda want to do those two latter scrapped subjects, but I figure they're probably pretty similar to what I did this semester (Moral Psychology and Philosophy of Law), so I'll have a bit of a gap before doing the same kinda thing. Plus, I'd rather do those two philosophies I'm changing to before they go down to 6 credit points. Though I doubt that will actually mean much. Probably just less assessments, same content.

As for Shakespeare... Well, I'm just getting sick of English. I really liked the Tutorials, and... the lectures... And... The texts. Umm.... I don't know, I just couldn't really get enthused about it this semester.

I don't know how much I'll like Syntax. I still might change that for the other linguistics one, Discourse Analysis... Or even Modern Rhetoric, which is actually an English course, but cross referencable to Linguistics.

Well, I'm sure that was exceedingly dull! But I've had a dull day.
Except for the part where I played Theme Hospital. Theme Hospital is heaps fun.

Vivant studiosi!

I finished the second take home exam! Wooo! No more essays for... At least a week! Woo!

In unrelated news, I finished the chocolate... No more chocolate until... I acquire some more... I suppose.

...

Woo!

Guess you only get one chance in life to play a song that goes like:

Today I was feeling pretty crappy, so I decided to walk to Rozelle park and do some reading for this exam I'm doing there, while eating some lunch.

It didn't help.
I got just about no reading done, it didn't make me feel any better, and vastly shortened the amount of time I have to write these answers.

But then, on the way home, I encountered a swing! And I swung on it! And lo, it was good.
So I felt much better afterwards.

The moral of the story - Swings are good.

Bernie, I said, they'll never make that money back.

While in the shower, I composed some odes to my favourite methods of movement.

Oh public transportation!
You cool and shiny beast;
If you were made of juicy foods
Then I would have a feast!

Oh you, my pair of precious legs,
Right down there near the floor!
If I were not so disinclined,
I'd walk to Tipper Gore!

Thank you, thank you, and don't forget to buy the T-Shirt!
...
Rightio, back to the work.

I question your innocence!

After seeing Mirza's recent posts, fine evaluations of recent albums, I felt kinda tempted to do the same.

Unfortunately, I quickly realised that I hadn't heard many recent albums, and looking at older albums that I liked wouldn't have the same kind of effect.

I also realised that I don't tend to listen to songs in their entire albumic context, except in the cases of a few prog-rock concept albums like Dark Side Of The Moon and Hounds Of Love, and even then I only tend to do it once or twice, then just listen to the songs scattered around as per usual. This makes it hard to evaluate an album as an album, rather than a bunch of songs, and to relate it to prior albums or anything like that.

The above realisation also led me to realise that I tend to only acquire entire albums, as opposed to various bits of albums, when I particularly like the album for whatever reason, or think it's the kind of album that hangs together as an album particularly well... Which is fair enough, but probably means that any attempt to pick albums to review would result a disproportionately large number of albums that I like a very lot.

And finally I realised that my attempts to give my opinions about albums wouldn't show any of the flair or finesse or Mirza's. So I decided not to. For now at least. Maybe I'll just do a general rant about some artists I've been listening to sometime.

In unrelated news, I wish Wirehog would work.

Out destruction, out grief!

Essay number 2 down! Booya!
Only three more to go!

Though those 3 are more kinda... Answers... Than essays... In a way. And they're only 1000 words each. They look a bit easier too. You guessed it, they are the philosophy of law exam questions!

The introduction is the hardest part.

Woo! I've written an introduction!
...
Right, I'll get back to it.

Chocolate is good food.

This time I bought Chocolate for the essay writing! Ha!
Eat that, body!

I've got my philosophy

I've been eating a lot of apples lately. Apples are tasty!

I finished one of my essays today... I don't think it turned out too badly... But I was hoping to have more or less finished 2 by now... So... That's not good.
Still, I gave myself a reasonable amount of time. I'm sure I'll survive.

(P.S, the sweets sucked)

And the screaming sky won't let me sleep!

Has anyone heard much Sparks? Because they're pretty good. In my opinion. Which is the correct opinion to hold.

I have 2 essays to write these weekend. For Philosophy. It's a "take home exam." 1500 words each. I'll probably do one on Non-Cognitivism, and one on either Moral Realism, Virtue Ethics, or "Is it ever appropriate to blame someone for being jealous?" They're all good questions. Unfortunately, I just can't seem to get started. Still, it's only 1500 words a day. I can pull that off. And it's not really actually due for about a week, I think, I just want to get it out of the way. I get another take home exam on Monday.

I purchased sweets for the writing!

Rats.

I saw Napoleon Dynamite today! It was fabulous! Brilliant! Fabulously brilliant!

But now I have to do work. Take home exams, and whatnot. Oh well.
